Description
Fast paced roustabout of a story involving crime, sex and characters with whom you very quickly develop an affinity. There are now three books in the Dirty Money series and you would be doing yourself a great favour to take them all on holiday with you. You will not put them down until you have finished the last one! Looking forward to more from this author.
The story plot just keeps you guessing. I love the way the chapters are laid out and describe the individual characters. I really enjoyed it and now look forward to the suspense in the new book for 2015. Don't miss out on a great read.
What a fantastic read this was!! I downloaded "Who Did You Upset" for my Kindle to read on the beach as I was due to visit the costa, where the book is set, and really was gripped from the get-go. Sinister violence, drug trafficking, risqué sex scenes; the book had it all and with a vivid depth of character to keep me captivated and the pages turning. A wonderful first book by Neil Andrews and one which I would highly recommend.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked up this book but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Max is someone that bad things just happen to and I would be interested to see how his story develops in subsequent books. I particularly like the malevolent character of Irish Jack, his presence in a scene just exudes menace.
An excellent read with a gripping storyline and intriguing characters. Fast-paced and action-packed, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a book they can't put down! Currently starting book two now!
How much can one man take?
With his strip-club consumed by flames, long-term relationship in tatters and a group of Underworld heavies seeking revenge, Max is a man struggling just to survive.
The story begins in sun and alcohol-soaked Costa del Sol, where Max has made and lost a fortune in real-estate. With his girlfriend of ten years, Rachel, life is now a monotonous drudge of apartment management and tumblers of Barcardi and Coke; The Pussycat Lounge, run by his brother and stripper girlfriend Crystal, and a plot of land in Brazil are the only investments left.
A drug-fuelled party awakens his need for excitement and Max is soon exploring the unspoken side of Costa del Sol life. He meets Jochem, a laidback Dutchman with a penchant for hashish cakes and Bill, a lonely older man seemingly without a history. Then there’s heavily tattooed Irish Jack with his import/export business and ‘office’ at the back of a bar. But like everything in the Costa del Sol, not everything – nor everyone – is all that it seems. So, when Bill invites him on a ‘boys only’ sailing trip to Morocco, little does Max know he’ll soon be ensnared into the very heart of the Costa del Sol Underworld. Sinister events and an erotic one night stand soon shatter his glamourous new life sending him on a harrowing escape through the Spanish countryside to England.
Returning to the UK and his burned-out strip-club, Max must do everything he can to salvage what’s left. But time is running out. With a bag of uncut diamonds and other ‘contraband’, he knows he must focus or he’ll lose everything… even his life.
Neil Andrews' debut novel, Who Did You Upset? is a fast-paced thrilling exotic adventure gripping you from the first page. Erotically charged with uniquely drawn characters, you’ll be pulled into Max’s troubled world and cheering for him to beat the odds, get the girl and resurrect his life.

My friends lap dancing club was actually firebombed leading to the question “Who did you upset?”

In one of the interviews with the owner if you listen carefully you may even hear the famous line for which he is ribbed mercilessly….”That there fire door saved my life it did...” You need to say this in a strong West Country accent to get the best from it.
